LocatedonthebeautifulNorthCliffonNuecesBay, visitors can enjoy both sunrise and sunset views over the water. Separate, fenced-in, off-leash zones for small and large breeds are provided, as well as picnic tables and a shade structure. Benches, waste stations, fresh water and even a fire plug are also installed for your pooches!Kleberg County BeachPadre IslandMany Coastal Benders, including some lifers, do not know that Nueces County ends, and Kleberg County begins, just a half-mile south of Bob Hall Pier and Padre Balli Park on the island. Without a doubt, this is the Wild West zone of North Padre Island that is sparsely visited, and even more sparsely patrolled, especially outside the peak summer season. This zone, which runs 7 1/2 miles south to the north boundary of the Padre Island National Seashore, is where your dogs can most freely run on the beach and frolic in the surf. Be wary of the colorful characters you might encounter in this area.Fish Pass JettiesMustang Island State ParkIt is with great pain and agony that we give up our most secret and sacred slice of paradise, but only for you, our fellow pet parents, and lovers of your canine babies. Except in the peak of the summer season or weekends in the shoulder seasons, the beach leading to the Fish Pass Jetties at Mustang Island State Park is as close to a private beach as you will find in the Coastal Bend. Leashes are officially required, if you see an infrequent park ranger, but traffic is very limited, and your fur babies will find their Doggie Paradise on Earth on the beach and in the surf. Take Beach Access Road 2, then turn south along the gulf beach. 72THE COASTAL BEND GUIDE TheCoastalBend.com'
